Enamelling...

For a while now I've been really interested in enamelling, but I haven't been able to get access to the facilities I need yet,  so I've been experimenting with enamel paint normally used for models.

Here are some photos from my sketchbooks showing how i changed my ideas over time and my experimentation with fractal formations.

This first one was my first trial I used different coloured enamel paint to try and show the different shading of a triangle prism, I quite liked the result but I wanted to try making them into a nicer structure that could be translated into a bangle...

At the time I was focussing on fractals as I'm really interested in organic formations in minerals and similar natural products.

This bangle was the result of my second trial using less colours, it was quite difficult to keep it into a structure that bent round but also didn't fold over too much, I'm quite pleased with the result but there's probably a lot more that I could do with this theme.
